CONTINUUM
A transformation without a break.

In the continuation of the Unconscious art research, Ekaterina Aristova develops an abstract, emotional form of writing, poised between a musical score and an author’s spontaneous handwriting. Drawn rapidly in charcoal — her preferred medium of expression — it emerges from an instinctive, almost unconscious gesture, in which the line becomes a direct extension of an inner impulse. Signs, scribbles and crossed-out marks preserve its traces, capturing fleeting moments of exploration, hesitation and doubt.
With Continuum, this form of writing is reimagined through a new material: golden aluminium wire. The charcoal line becomes sculptural, rising in relief, traversing the canvas and sometimes seeking to break free from its surface and unfold into space.
Between passing time and enduring matter, the line embodies an ongoing search — an inner movement that never fully resolves, but continues its pursuit of freedom, pushing beyond the limits of the surface into a new dimension.
