Ekaterina Aristova's work sold by Christie's for 6.5 times its base estimate

In spring 2024, Ekaterina Aristova made her debut at Christie's Paris. Her artwork "Svistoplyaska (Study in Red)" was sold by Christie's for 6.5 times its base estimate, placing Aristova among the 30 most expensive contemporary and post-war painters in the world at that sale.

The auction featured works by Hans Hartung, Jean Dubuffet, Pablo Picasso, Nicolas de Staël, Salvo, Karel Appel, Manolo Valdez, Daniel Buren, Gerard Garouste, Pierre Alechinsky, Damien Hirst, and many others, with a total sale result of EUR 3.6M.

Ekaterina Aristova is the youngest contemporary artist in the list with such a remarkable result.
